Privacy Policy

What we collect

Pendla collects minimal data to provide leaderboards, challenges, and player profiles:

• Nickname — chosen by you, displayed on leaderboards and challenges
• Game scores — route played, percentage, grade, stop-by-stop results
• Device identifier — a random UUID stored in a cookie to identify your device (no personal data)

What we don't collect

• No email address, phone number, or real name
• No location data or GPS
• No advertising trackers or third-party analytics
• No cookies besides the device identifier

How we use your data

• Display your nickname and scores on public leaderboards
• Enable challenge links so friends can compete against your score
• Show your profile page at /driver/[nickname]
• Calculate weekly rankings and route records

Data storage

Game data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway (EU/US). Local preferences (sound settings, progression) are stored in your browser's localStorage and never sent to our servers.

Data retention

Scores and player data are retained indefinitely to maintain leaderboards. You can request deletion of all your data by contacting us.

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of your data
• Request deletion of your data
• Change your nickname at any time

Third-party services

• Railway — hosting and database
• Open-Meteo — real-time Stockholm weather (no user data sent)
• Trafiklab / SL — transit route data (no user data sent)
